Notes on an ongoing project that attempts to sonically represent place.
Taking English Neo-Romantic landscape painting as a starting point, I will consider and portray places, not just from a traditional stereophonic perspective, but attempt to represent the sound emotionally, historically and conceptually.
The dissertation has been my focus for a couple of weeks, but I mustn't let this practical project slip behind. Bought a couple of great books yesterday, Landscape and Englishness and The Megalithic Monuments of Britain and Ireland.
